Throughout history, transmission of the sacred directly via person-to-person relationships has often led to eventual distortion and deterioration of the original material. One of PeaceWorks Publications' main goals is to insure that this never happens with the Dances of Universal Peace. In the spirit of this effort, cassette tapes and instruction booklets featuring the music, words, movements, guitar, and drumming that make up the Dances are produced and offered for sale. Mainly designed as instructional material for Dance leaders, these tapes and booklets can also be used by anyone to further Dance education and enjoyment.
Originally recorded in 1975, with many songs performed by the Sufi Choir and composed by W. A. Mathieu. Revised in 1987 to include a greater selection of early Dances. PeaceWorks.
