Bequests
If you love the Dances of Universal Peace and the Walking Concentrations of Murshid Samuel Lewis, we invite you to help ensure in perpetuity the viability of this art and spiritual practice by making a bequest to Dances of Universal Peace International in your will. Dances of Universal Peace International provides structure, resources and support essential to nurturing a vital spiritual transmission in the Dance work. We are working to encourage and inspire excellence and spiritual depth in leading the Dances of Universal Peace and Walking Concentrations through our network of Leaders and Mentors. We also link the worldwide community of leaders and participants in the Dances. You can read more about our organization here. Our board of directors and professional staff will make sure that your gift is used according to your wishes. You may designate your gift for a particular need within the organization, or simply designate it for general purposes to serve the Dances of Universal Peace. We now have an Initiatives fund, which is explained here, and you may like to consider contributing to this as a way of broadening the reach and supporting the transmission of the Dances. To make a bequest, be sure to include appropriate statement below in your will. 1. Bequest of cash 2. Bequest of a percent of the estate 3. Contingent Bequest If you choose to name Dances of Universal Peace International as a beneficiary, please let us know of your plans. This will enable us not only to show our appreciation of your generosity but also to include your support in planning for the future of DUP International. If you select a specific purpose for your gift, inclusion of the following sentence will ensure that the bequest remains useful through many decades. "If, in the judgment of the Board of Directors, changed circumstances should, at some future time, render the designated use of this fund impracticable, unwise or inappropriate, then the Board shall use the fund to further the objectives and purposes of Dances of Universal Peace International, giving consideration to my special interest as evidenced by the purpose described above." |
